A huge drone display showing Oasis’ logo appeared in Cardiff. Check it out below, along with fresh audio of the band at a soundcheck.
The display was seen for a brief time last night (July 2) above the Principality Stadium, where Liam and Noel Gallagher will kick off the first of 19 shows in the UK and Ireland tomorrow night (Friday July 4).
The drones were flown in a formation to produce the Britpop band’s classic logo in the sky, building hype for the highly anticipated first night of the tour.
It will mark their first live show together in 16 years, following their split in 2009. With support coming from Richard Ashcroft and Cast, the UK and Ireland run includes seven dates at London’s Wembley Stadium. It will be followed by gigs in Canada, the US, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil, before wrapping up on November 23 in São Paulo.

As well as the light display last night, Oasis have also been heard by fans in what appears to be a recording from another recent soundcheck.
In footage shared from fans outside the stadium, the band were heard playing classic tracks ‘Some Might Say’ and ‘Stand By Me’.
“Took a cycle down to the stadium, soundcheck happening in right now, ‘Stand by me’,” one fan wrote on X. “Must say I am super jealous, Noel sounds in top form,” he added.

The audio of the band at the Principality Stadium follows other alleged audio snippets of Oasis at the venue earlier this week, where they were heard playing ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’.
The clips have caused some discourse among fans. While some believe that Liam, Noel and the rest of Oasis were in the building, others argued that it was just a pre-taped recording used to test sound levels.
Liam has weighed in on the debate too, jokingly reacting to the clip and critiquing himself. “Mmm I’m not sure about the vocals there, too aggressive,” he quipped. “He really needs to take a chill pill, man. He’s just so angry all the time. I don’t know who he thinks he is, as far as I’m concerned, he’s just a bigmouth from up north”.
He then added in a separate post that it was “defo a recording from rehearsals. Unless there’s two of me, which I’m absolutely one million per cent here for”.
In the run up to the shows – which are set to have mostly dry weather conditions – the singer has revealed that the opening show in Cardiff will have a start time of 8:15pm, telling fans: “Don’t be late or we’ll start without you and you don’t want that now do ya”. Shortly afterwards, official doors and stage times for the opening acts were revealed on social media.
It’s not just the drone display building hype either. Aldi has renamed a Manchester branch “Aldeh” in honour of the upcoming reunion tour, and Lidl has launched a special ‘Lidl By Lidl’ reunion jacket inspired by Liam’s Berghaus coat.
The Gallagher Brothers recently reunited on camera to launch a line of Adidas Originals gear too, and they then teamed up with Bohemian FC for a new football shirt to mark their comeback.
In the past few weeks, Oasis have urged fans to book their places now for the ‘Live ‘25’ merchandise pop-up stores in order to avoid queues, and Liam has also responded to reports that their crew have not been given tickets to the reunion tour, joking that they “don’t have friends”.
