Bill Hader has recalled how he was once fired from his cinema job for “for ruining the end of Titanic“.
During an appearance on Netflix’s Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, the Barry star spoke about how he came up against a difficult sorority.
“I got fired from a movie theatre for ruining the end of Titanic,” he explained. “I was working in a movie theatre, and Titanic hadn’t come out yet, and a sorority had bought out the movie theatre.
“And they were in the doorway and I was going, ‘Hey, guys. Can you guys move?’ They were making fun of me, they said I looked like Charles Manson. Which I kinda did. I had a little bowtie on and cummerbund, and I was like, ‘Hey guys, please move.’ And they were like, ‘No.’”
“So when they went in, as I tore the tickets, I was like, ‘Enjoy the movie. The boat sinks at the end. Leo dies.’ And they were like, ‘No, he doesn’t.’ I go, ‘Yeah, you think he’s asleep. But he’s frozen.’ And that showed them,” Hader quipped.

As a result of his actions, Hader said he was fired on the spot.
“The guy came down smiling, and he was like, ‘Hey, Bill. I have to fire you.’ He loved it. Couldn’t look me in the eye, though,” he added.
The ending of Titanic has been the subject of much controversy over the years.
Fans have in the past claimed that there was enough room on the raft for both Jack (Leonardo Di Caprio) and Rose (Kate Winslet) to survive.
James Cameron has often dismissed the theory, categorically stating that tests had proven only one of his protagonists could survive.
In a National Geographic special Titanic: 25 Years Later With James Cameron, the director did disprove the fan theory that there was enough room on the raft for both Jack and Rose to survive.
In another scenario though, Cameron tried once again to fit both Jack and Rose on the raft. This test saw their bodies positioned so that their upper halves (which includes vital organs) remained out of the water. In this scenario the chances of both surviving increased.
Last year, Winslet also said that kissing DiCaprio whilst filming Titanic “was not all it’s cracked up to be”.
