Blizzard Is Actually Adding New Heroes Of The Storm Content For Its 10th Anniversary

Blizzard’s free-to-play MOBA Heroes of the Storm is 10 years old, and the developer is celebrating the special occasion by adding a new hero skin and hinting at the possibility of more to come.

In a blog post, Blizzard announced all of Heroes of the Storm’s 90 playable heroes will be free for all players until June 15 to celebrate the game’s 10th anniversary, and anyone who logs in before that time will be awarded two new 10th-anniversary player portraits.

But that’s not all. Despite Blizzard largely ending development on Heroes of the Storm back in 2022, Blizzard’s Classic Games team (which now oversees the MOBA) is adding a new skin to the game for the first time in years to celebrate both Heroes of the Storm’s anniversary and the recent Warcraft 30th anniversary. The skin, Gear Head Thrall, features a cel-shaded look, as if Thrall took a detour in Gearbox’s Borderlands series.
