Once you’ve completed the tasks, though, you should have a one-way ticket home. Lastly, please be reminded that this article contains minor spoilers.

Repairing the Javelin is a major, yet optional, arc in the campaign. It’s not necessarily part of the main story, but it does lead to a couple of campaign endings.

In any case, the crashed ship is found south of your hub in Nu Florida in Stellaris Prime. Upon approaching the spacecraft, your drone, Eko, will tell you that you can fully fix it. Here’s a quick summary of the things that you need to do:

• Raise the Javelin from the swamp.
• Fully clean the Javelin using various tools.
• Locate other crashed Javelins in various worlds. Be sure to scan the parts of each wreckage thoroughly.
• Unlock all Javelin-related upgrades.

How to raise the Javelin from the swamp

If you want to repair the Javelin in Revenge of the Savage Planet, then you need the Magnetic Fork. The gadget can be found on the planet of Xephyr as part of a quest called May the Fork Be With You. Here’s a quick summary of the steps:

• Obtain the Goo Ingestor so you can delve deeper into the underground cavern.
• Pick up the Magnetic Fork and defeat the Wormzilla boss.
• Return to the crashed Javelin in Nu Florida and use the gadget. A cutscene will play where your character will raise the ship, Jedi-style, and bring it closer to your habitat.

How to clean the Javelin

The next part of the Revenge of the Savage Planet Roundtrip 2.0 mission requires you to prep the Javelin for launch. Of course, you still need to clean it up:

• Remove the goo – This task is fairly simple since you just need to use the Spritzer Power Hose. Spray water to get rid of the green ooze until the tally is completed.
• Burn the cobwebs – You need to infuse the Goo Ingestor with lava that comes from Lava Dispenser plants in Stellaris Prime. You can find some in the Slarragon Forest and Cliffs of Abaddoon zones.
• Destroy the amber sacs – You must progress further into the campaign until you have the Blight Bomb Dispenser upgrade from Quasadron IX. This comes from a main quest where you capture and research an Alpha Sluggator. Once you’ve unlocked the upgrade, you can pick up Blight Bombs back in Quasadron IX. The Crash Site and Savannah Lake teleporters have plants nearby.

Note: While you’re doing the above tasks, don’t forget that you still need to unlock the Javelin-related upgrades back in your hub. Three of these upgrades come from other crashed Javelins that you scan. These vehicles can be found in Xephyr, Zenithian Rift, and Quasadron IX.

Xephyr Crashed Javelin

• Region: Crystal Pillars
• Location: Head northwest from the Great Oasis teleporter until you come across several rock formations. The crashed ship is stuck between a couple of pillars.

Zenithian Rifts Crashed Javelin

• Region: Summit of Ruin
• Location: You need to make a long trek to the Summit of Ruin in the Peaks segment of the map. In the area with several Toxwin, you should see a sloping path that leads back down. Slide down the path and keep left the entire time. You’ll then spot a destructible wall and, beyond that, there’s a wrecked spacecraft.

Quasadron IX Crashed Javelin

• Region: Savannah Lake
• Location: You should see a Baobab Maw (i.e. worm-eating tree) and a small inlet just a short distance south of the teleporter. If you dive underwater, you’ll notice the submerged vessel down below.

All Javelin upgrades

Once you’ve found and scanned all the wrecked spacecrafts, it’s time to fully repair the Revenge of the Savage Planet Javelin ship. The first two upgrades in your 3D Printer are available by default. The remaining three come from the wreckage scans. That said, each upgrade is quite costly, so make sure that you’ve amassed a lot of resources:

• Air Freshener: Costs 1,600 aluminum, 1,400 carbon, and 700 silicon.
• Ultra Hi-Fi Surround System: Costs 1,800 aluminum, 1,100 carbon, and 600 silicon.
• Antenna: Costs 1,200 aluminum, 1,500 carbon, and 400 silicon.
• Thrusters: Costs 800 aluminum, 1,300 carbon, and 800 silicon.
• Radiator: Costs 1,100 aluminum, 1,200 carbon, and 600 silicon.

What happens when you launch the Javelin?

After completing all the Javelin-related upgrades via the 3D Printer, you’re told that it’s ready for launch. You can ride it whenever you want, and doing so triggers a short cutscene. This also nets you the “Hasta La Vista” achievement.
