Mario Kart World is out now for the Nintendo Switch 2, and people are making discoveries about it, like an unexpected co-developer and what features the game has and does not have.
One feature Nintendo did not include in Mario Kart World is local co-op for the game’s Free Roam mode, Kotaku discovered. Nintendo never said the game would have this, but it’s still a disappointing realization for some people who wanted to enjoy zipping around Mario Kart World’s vast map with a friend or family member locally.
Many are speculating that this feature not being available may come down to technical considerations. Forza Horizon 5, another popular racing game with a huge map, does not allow for local co-op either.
