The release date for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 has reportedly been revealed ahead of Gamescom 2025.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 follows on from last year’s Black Ops 6 and will serve as a direct sequel to 2012’s Black Ops 2.

The game was officially announced in June and a full reveal, including release date and price details, is set to take place next week as part of Gamescom. However a reliable leaker at Deallabs claims to know when Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 will launch.

It’s been reported that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 will release November 14, 2025 for Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Pre-orders are rumoured to go live August 20, shortly after the Xbox Gamescom broadcast which will start at 2pm BST.

As part of Microsoft’s £60billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, an agreement was signed that said Nintendo owners would be able to access Call Of Duty on “the same day as Xbox, with full feature and content parity”. However the series has been absent from Nintendo consoles for more than a decade now and, according to leaks, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 reportedly won’t launch for the Nintendo Switch 2 either.

In June, the team behind Call Of Duty said they were “committed to getting the franchise on Switch” and “both teams [are] working on it.”

According to Activision, Black Ops 7 is set to be the most “mind-bending” Call Of Duty yet. “Developed as the next evolution of Black Ops, this is the first-ever consecutive release within the series, set more than 40 years after the events of Black Ops 6. The year is 2035 and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Wielding cutting-edge technology, David Mason and his team must fight back against a manipulative enemy who weaponises fear above all else.”

The game will feature solo and a multiplayer co-op campaign modes, alongside a “signature” multiplayer experience with brand new maps. The popular ‘Zombies’ mode is also getting a refresh with “the next twisted chapter of round-bases” mayhem. Black Ops 7 “delivers the full Call Of Duty package for our players, and we can’t wait to show the community more,” said Call Of Duty director Matt Cox earlier this year.

In other news, Ice Cube has followed up his starring role in the flop War Of The Worlds remake with a bizarre Minecraft advert.
