As it currently stands, playing Monster Hunter Wilds on PC can be a subpar experience. It’s had plenty of issues since launch, and while it’s better now for some, it still suffers from numerous performance problems. However, Capcom is continuously working on solving the game’s issues on PC, and in a post shared to the official Monster Hunter X account, it explained the steps it intends to take, but it sounds like significant fixes may not arrive until this winter.
“To our hunters playing [Monster Hunter Wilds] on PC, we’re committed to listening to your feedback and improving both performance and stability of the game,” reads the post. “Although we will continue to implement gradual improvements in the weeks ahead, we are targeting Free Title Update Four this winter to implement a multifaceted plan, including CPU and GPU related optimizations, followed by a second stage of mitigation measures afterwards.” The post ended by saying that specific details will be coming in the future.
Last week, a new patch arrived in Monster Hunter Wilds, bringing with it tougher endgame monsters and balance tweaks, but also a bug that would cause the game to crash in certain circumstances. That bug has since been fixed, helping to pave the way for the game’s third title update which is due out in September. A release date for title update four hasn’t been announced just yet, so PC players will have to wait a while longer for more details.
